Etna Meets Barolo in Paris: An Alliance of Italian Excellence in the Capital of Taste
On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the majesty of the Langhe and the volcanic elegance of Etna will converge in the heart of Paris for an exclusive event to promote their wines and territories. This promotional event is organized by I Vini del Piemonte and the Consorzio di Tutela dei Vini Etna D.O.C. in collaboration with the Strada del Barolo e grandi vini di Langa.
Paris presents an exceptional opportunity for fine Italian wines due to its deep-rooted food and wine culture, its excellent restaurant scene, the growing interest in the diversity of Italian products, and its strategic position as a hub for international tourism and wine investments.
The event, held in a prestigious location in the French capital, will be an unmissable occasion for importers, distributors, restaurateurs, sommeliers, and specialized press to deepen their knowledge of these two outstanding denominations and meet 30 wineries from the two regions. The day will feature masterclasses led by an internationally renowned expert, tasting sessions that highlight the synergies and contrasts between the two territories, and networking opportunities with the producers themselves, who are the true guardians of tradition and innovation.
This initiative acts as an ideal bridge between two of Italy’s most fascinating and distinct wine regions. Barolo, with its complexity, structure, and longevity, is a sublime expression of the Nebbiolo grape and the Piedmontese terroir, telling centuries of history and passion. The Etna wines, on the other hand, carry the unique energy of the volcano, offering mineral profiles, freshness, and an unmistakable identity from indigenous grapes like Nerello Mascalese and Carricante.
The goal is twofold: on one hand, to showcase the richness and specificity of the individual terroirs, and on the other, to demonstrate the ability of Italian wines to present a united front on the global stage, offering a message of quality, authenticity, and great potential.
